Objectives
In a school setting, proposing a dance workshop means wanting to use another language with students: the language of the body. This mode of expression is little used in the daily life of the classroom; yet, it allows an opening onto a little-known world: a world without words. This language also makes it possible to go beyond language and cultural divides, thus entering a poetic and universal language.
Means
The facilitator accompanies the students in a gestural exploration that is both personal and collective, engaging their personality and sensitivity. The dancers respond to precise instructions that lead to an increasingly refined body language. The session lasts about 1 hour.
The dance workshop contributes to civic education by placing us in situations of collective creation, the objective of which is also to educate the child's gaze in the face of the responses of others. These workshops are intended for children, teenagers (between 8 and 18 years old) and adults.
